The traditional car seat cover composite material is composed of three layers: the cladding is a woven or knitted fabric, of which polyester is the main fiber material, accounting for about 90%; the middle layer is a 28 mm thick PU foam layer, the bottom layer It is covered by polyester fiber or polyurethane mesh, and polyurethane is the adhesive used to bond the two layers.

The chair cover made of PU foam composite material has the advantages of strong recovery ability and advanced manufacturing process.
However, in the years of use, several major disadvantages have also been exposed: due to the use of flame glue and technology, the combustion products produced in the production process are discharged into the air to cause pollution, and these substances will also be scattered in the newly produced cars and emit bad odors. 
In addition, the breathability of this car seat cover also affects the ride comfort.
Another disadvantage of the automotive seat cover composite material is that it cannot be recycled.

Based on the above, the European Union approved a four-year research project aimed at researching and developing recyclable non-woven fabrics suitable for automotive interior liners.


From the perspective of use characteristics, manufacturing methods and economics, the composite material of this car seat cover must meet the following requirements:
* The surface material is the same as the cushion material;
* Can be fully recycled;
* Can use recycled fiber;
* Requirements and operating characteristics are guaranteed;
* Improve the temperature condition of the seat cover;
* Reduce mist and bad smell;
* Adopting glue and technology that do not pollute the environment;
* Low production cost
